The Wines of AOP Côteaux Varois en Provence
Nestled in the heart of Provence, the AOP Côteaux Varois en Provence benefits from a unique microclimate that produces elegant and refined wines. This prestigious appellation brings together 90 passionate producers dedicated to crafting high-quality wines.
The primary red grape varieties include Cinsault, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Carignan, Sauvignon, and Tibouren. These wines are aromatic in their youth and develop greater complexity with age. Using similar grape varieties and a meticulous cold maceration process, winemakers create delicate, fresh, and fruity Rosés, perfect for pairing with Mediterranean cuisine. For the whites, varieties such as Clairette, Grenache blanc, Rolle (Vermentino), Ugni Blanc and Sémillon bring balance, freshness, and finesse.
